The Meaning of The Show

What a Long Strange Trip

I came up with the framework for this show back in 2023. Throughout my life, I've been telling stories about my strange upbringing in a second-generation Sicilian family. I've got endless stories about my dad, grandmother, aunts, and uncles—some hilarious, some unbelievable, and most of them somewhere in between.

I've worked more jobs than I can count, and every one of them seems to have come with a story worth telling. I've started businesses—some legitimate, some maybe a little questionable—and I've always had side hustles that turned into some of the best stories of all.

When I first started this project in 2023, I partnered with someone who turned out to be the wrong person for the job. That's life. Sometimes people disappoint you, and sometimes they teach you exactly who not to trust. Either way, the show kept calling me, and I knew I had to bring it to life.

After 3 long years and practicing with differnt people, I found a guy named Chris . He was from Rhode Island ,he was Italian and he was funny . We were going to launch in April and at the last minute he moved to Italy . I was just about to give up when I approuched my friend Art The Barber. After one drunken night at his house doing a fake podcast and laughing are asses off I said you need to come down to my studio and try it out . The next day he called and said, I want to give it a try. From there we found lightning in a bottle ! Art has lots of funny storys and his life has been a Long Strange Trip as well.

What's most important to us, first and foremost, is that you laugh and have a great time listening. This show is truly for you.

Second, we are passionate about keeping this an open forum. No walking on eggshells. No pretending, everyone is fair game including us. We say what we think and we won't apologize for being honest. If that's not your thing, that's okay—there are plenty of other shows out there.

More than anything, I want to inspire connection and invite you along on our journey as we continue discovering the world around us.

As a lifelong Grateful Dead fan, I chose to call the show "What a Long Strange Trip." The title comes from the song Truckin', and I can't think of a better way to describe our lives . We changed, adapted, failed, succeeded, and somehow kept moving forward.

As Jerry Garcia sang in the song Truckin:

"Sometimes the lights are shinin' on me; other times I can barely see. Lately it occured to me... what a long, strange trip it's been."

To me, those lyrics mean that life is stranger than shit, and when there is nothing left to do just Smile, Smile , Smile .

Sincerely,

Chris & Art

Who Are We ?

This isn't just a business to us—it's a reflection of what pulled us into the world of podcasting in the first place.

What a Long Strange Trip is a podcast where every episode feels like you're sitting around with good friends, swapping stories you won't hear anywhere else. My life has been exactly that—a long, strange trip—and that theme runs through everything we do.

It's Wall Street by day and Shakedown Street by night.

The stories are real. So outrageous, so unexpected, and so unbelievable that you couldn't make them up if you tried.

This show is funny, honest, unpredictable, and anything but ordinary. We don't believe in filters, political correctness, or pretending to be something we're not. Every episode is an authentic conversation, and nothing is off limits. It's not for the faint of heart—but if you're looking for something real, you've found it.

We hope you'll walk away with more than just a laugh. Maybe you'll find the confidence to ask for that promotion, the motivation to start enjoying life again, or the courage to take a few risks that could change everything for you. And if nothing else, we promise you'll laugh your ass off.

Doing work that matters is at the heart of everything we create. We're committed to producing a great show, building a genuine community, and supporting the people who support us. We also believe small businesses deserve affordable, effective advertising that actually connects them with real customers—not just clicks and impressions.

Most importantly, we want to inspire people to live life on their own terms. We believe that when small businesses support one another, real communities are built. Those relationships become the fabric that holds everything together and create something far bigger than any one business ever could.

Life is one long strange trip. .At least we will enjoy the ride.

We hope you'll come along with us.?
